The Utilization of GIS and Geo-Information Technologies in Serving the Non-Revenue Water Directorate , the PMU Experience Nidal Saliba GIS Manager Programme Management Unit, Water Authority of Jordan Nidal_Saliba Abstract The GIS Department of the Programme Management Unit (PMU) in the Water Authority of Jordan assists the diverse PMU Projects with a wide range of GIS and mapping-related services and products. This paper introduces in particular the contributions made by GIS and related geo-information technologies in supporting the Non-Revenue Water Directorate (NRW) in their efforts to assess and control non-revenue water. Special emphasis is given to the role of GIS functions in calculating the Infrastructure Leakage Index (ILI) performance indicator for areas under study in Jordan.
